‘Gone with the wind ‘by Maragaret Mitchell is a splendid outstandingly brilliant novel which takes the readers directly to the civil war and its after effects .Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler, the two main characters of the book do get the readers highly glued to the book. The sure-footedness of the story line, drawn in iconoclastically and the vivid description of the ugly truth behind the civil war between the confederates and Yankees make the book a more and more must-read one. Although a gruelling effort is needed from the readers end to engulf the 1448 pages of this stupendous novel, yet it still remains impeccable.
